25 years of industry experience
Marco's career has always been driven by a passion for energy and innovation. Former CEO of Snam (2016-22), he led its repositioning from a traditional regulated player into a international, diversified platform at the forefront of the energy transition. Prior to Snam, Marco held several executive positions in Eni (up to Chief Retail Market Gas & Power), as well as Enel and Wind. In 2000, he founded and successfully sold a telecom start-up. He began his career at Goldman Sachs and he is the initiator and co-founder of World Wellbeing Movement (WWM).
25 years of industry and finance expertise
Former CEO of Storage, CFO, and Chief International and Business Development Officer at Snam (from 2016 to 2022). Alessandra played a key role in Snam’s repositioning from a pure infrastructure company into an energy transition leader with a global footprint (including its storage activities). Led the acquisition of 36% of De Nora from Blackstone, then IPOed 1 year later at ca. double value. Prior to joining Snam, Alessandra has been Head of Investment Banking Italy at Barclays and worked at Citi and Kraft, managing M&A and IPOs in energy, infrastructure and telecommunication sectors. Former independent board member of Italy’s largest online bank Fineco.

Paddy is the former CEO and President of ACWA Power (2007-2023), transforming it from a 5-person private company to a publicly listed firm on the Saudi stock exchange with a market cap of ~$25bn. ACWA Power is a leading global developer, owner, and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants, managing assets worth over $75bn in 13 countries.
A Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Manchester, Paddy began his career in consulting engineering before moving on to develop privately financed power, water, and wastewater projects globally. He serves on the boards of several companies in the water and energy sectors. Before ACWA Power, he was VP and Corporate Officer at Black and Veatch for over a decade.

CEO of Garage Italia Customs (2018-2021). From 1990 – 2016 Managing Partner of Tremonti Vitali Romagnoli Piccardi e Associati. From 2010 to 2014 member of the Board of International Advisors of Goldman Sachs. From 2009 to 2013 advisor to the Italian Committee for the World Food Programme. From 2008 to 2011 Coordinator of the Strategic Committee for the Foreign Development and Defense of the Domestic Interest in Economy.

Andrea is the CEO of Zhero Renewable US, leading renewable energy origination and development in North America. As Partner and Managing Director at Building Energy (2011-2020), he helped grow the company from a startup to a global power producer with 3GW+ of renewables, expanding into South Africa and the U.S. He later oversaw the sale of the U.S. platform to Novis Renewables and became VP of BD. Prior to that, Andrea was Country Head at SunPower, pioneering large-scale solar PV projects in Italy, and began his career at Shell and Compressor Controls Corporation. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in energy, from Politecnico di Milano.
Daniele is Managing Director and CEO of Zhero Peak, focusing on battery storage and energy management. He is a seasoned energy executive with a proven track record in business development, strategic expansion, and transformation. He previously led Juwi Italy (2021-2023), building a 1 GW solar project pipeline, and expanded Building Energy in South America (2014-2020). His career began in Enel’s nuclear division, contributing to global expansion later contributing to Enel Green Power and Canadian Solar. He holds a Master’s in Energy Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome and a Master’s from the Enrico Mattei MEDEA School in Milan.
Marco, as CFO and Corporate Secretary, oversees capital raise strategy, strategic planning, and corporate governance. Before joining Zhero in 2022, he spent four years at Snam as Head of M&A, BD, and international offices, supporting Marco Alverà and Alessandra Pasini in repositioning the company as a global energy transition leader. He originated and executed acquisitions and IPOs for ca. EUR 3bn. Marco fostered partnerships with corporate and financial investors, representing Snam on the boards of key investee companies. From 2006 to 2018, he was part of Citi’s investment banking team, advising on transactions in energy, infrastructure, telecom, and media sectors.
Paolo, as COO, leads the origination of green molecule projects, including the green ammonia project in Namibia, and the engineering team for Zhero Europe. With over 27 years of experience in the energy sector, he has held key leadership roles in major EPC firms like Foster Wheeler, Techint, and Tecnimont, successfully leading large-scale projects and commercial operations, driving strategic execution and business growth. He is a strong advocate for energy transition, driving initiatives that contribute to the industry's shift toward sustainable practices, leveraging his expertise inengineering and energy. He holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
