Zhero plans to build renewable plants in Algeria and Tunisia. This project could raise Italy’s profile, bolster energy security.

Zhero, a global developer of large scale clean energy projects, has successfully concluded its second fundraising round with an upsized raise of €60 million to accelerate the development of its green energy projects attracting highly experienced industrial and financial investors.

The formal meeting that took place between the Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines and the co-founder of the Italian company Zhero, highlighted the desire to develop new green projects in synergy in the North African country, particularly in the solar photovoltaic and renewable hydrogen sectors.

Agreements for green energy projects in Europe and Africa.

TotalEnergies, Baker Hughes, Technip Energies, Azimut (through the fund Azimut ELTIF – Infrastructure & Real Assets ESG) and other investors have signed preliminary agreement to invest in Zhero Europe in order to develop large scale renewable energies projects in Europe and Africa spanning across renewable power generation, power interconnections and green molecules.
