Czech Republic

From Dresden we drove towards the Czech Republic. On the way we passed more beautiful towns and some stunning castles. Once inside the Czech Republic we visited Terezin, a staging camp for Jews before they were moved to Auschwitz and extermination. It is now a series of museums and memorials, it was clearly a very powerful and extremely saddening experience.

That night we arrived in Prague, where Luce had already flown, and checked into this huge, rambling hotel with some touches of real elegance and style. Prague is an amazing, stunning city. The down side is that in many of the central, old areas there are millions of tourists. Still, it was easy enough to move away and find isolated, wonderful alleys.
